PRESIDENT of the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association, Vivian Johnson has said that the foremost major plan of the regional body is to increase training opportunities in the territories by planning and delivering training seminars, utilising the association’s chairman along with senior umpires, other certified trainers, plus the utilization of former ICC Elite Umpire Joel Wilson to be a part of this venture.

According to Johnson, “we have made several changes to the way we operate as an executive and have basically revolutionised some of the operations to bring it into the 21st century business operation approach.

PRESIDENT, Vivian Johnson has described the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between his entity and Cricket West Indies (CWI) as a beacon of opportunity for the two organizations “to work together for the ultimate benefit of the sport we love and serve – West Indies Cricket.”

Two new officials have joined the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, with a South African and an English umpire making it to the updated group.
