WICUA Celebrates Appointment of Two Female Umpires to Women’s World Cup
The West Indies Cricket Umpires' Association (WICUA) wishes to take this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Jacqueline Williams and Ms. Candice Laborde on their appointment to officiate in the upcoming Women's World Cup.
Ms. Williams has been our flag bearer on the women's side for a number of years, carrying our flag with distinction all over the world, and now she is joined by another of our female umpires, Ms. Laborde, to officiate in one of the highest cricket tournaments in the world. It is an unprecedented feat to have these two ladies representing the West Indies on the world stage. We at the WICUA know that they are going to make us proud with their work on and off the field.
We want to wish them all the success in this tournament and may they continue to represent us with distinction.
Regards,
Vivian Johnson
President
West Indies Cricket Umpires' Association (WICUA)
